Andrew Abdo is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within the sports and consulting sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and previously as Chief Commercial Officer at the National Rugby League since August 2013, Andrew's primary responsibility is to generate revenue for reinvestment into Rugby League. In addition to this, Andrew has been a Visiting MBA Faculty member at the Gordon Institute of Business Science since January 2006, teaching various finance courses. Prior experience includes a Director role at Deloitte Australia's Private Growth Advisory Practice, where strategic solutions for mid-market companies were provided, and serving as a Non-Executive Director at the South African Forestry Company. Andrew has also led consulting growth at Atcor (Pty) Ltd and has held several key positions in Deloitte's financial service divisions. Academically, Andrew holds an MBA from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Cape Town.
