Mike Covalt, PMP has extensive work experience in project management and information technology. Mike has held various leadership positions throughout their career. From 2018 to the present, Mike has served as the Vice President, Insurance & Financial Services - Lincoln Operations at NRECA. Prior to that, they were the Director, Systems Implementation at NRECA, where they led and managed a team responsible for implementing critical business strategies.

Before joining NRECA, Mike worked at Cabela's World's Foremost Bank from 1998 to 2018. During their time there, they held roles such as the Sr. Vice President of Operations & IT and Sr. Solutions Delivery Manager. Mike was responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology and project management for the bank, including systems operations and application development. Mike also managed relationships with various stakeholders and controlled a significant budget.

Prior to their tenure at Cabela's World's Foremost Bank, Mike worked at Principal Financial Group as an Information Analyst. Mike assumed IT project leadership and trained employees in the Client Contract Administration application.

Mike Covalt, PMP holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, which they completed from 1991 to 1995. Prior to that, they attended Kearney High School from 1987 to 1991. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2007. Mike also holds Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (ICYB) certifications from GoLeanSixSigma.com, obtained in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
