Dr. Saravanan Muthiah

Dr. Saravanan Muthiah has extensive work experience in the engineering and technology field. Dr. Saravanan is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at NRB Bearings Limited, where they lead the Product Technology and R&D functions. Additionally, they serve as the Corporate Management Representative (MR) for Quality, Environment, Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President - Engineering / Head - Engineering Center at the same company.

Before joining NRB Bearings Limited, Dr. Muthiah worked at Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, where they served as the Head of Advanced Technology. In this role, they were responsible for charting the Technology Roadmap for the company and delivering proof of concepts (POC) for various divisions.

Dr. Muthiah also had a long tenure at Mahindra & Mahindra, where they held the positions of General Manager and Deputy General Manager. Dr. Saravanan started their career at Maruti Suzuki India Limited as an Assistant General Manager. Dr. Saravanan then gained international experience as an Analyst - Vehicle Systems at General Motors (GM Powertrain) in the USA.

Prior to that, Dr. Muthiah worked as a Research Assistant at the Pennsylvania Transportation Institute. Dr. Saravanan started their career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at L&T, Powai, Mumbai.

Dr. Saravanan Muthiah earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University in the years 2002-2006. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University from 2000-2001. Dr. Saravanan obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering in the years 1991-1995. Lastly, they attended D.T.E.A. Sr. Sec. School, Mandir Marg from 1982-1991, where they acquired a D.S.S.C.E. degree.
