Daniel Nelson has extensive work experience in the building products industry. Starting in 1991 at Andersen, they held the roles of Sales Representative and later District Manager. In 2007, they joined The Empire Company as the Sr. Vice-President Pro Dealer, responsible for leading a team and managing various distribution entities across the eastern US. In 2018, they also took on the role of Regional Vice President, Midwest. Currently, Daniel serves as the Vice President of Distribution Operations at Novo Building Products, starting in 2022.

Daniel Nelson completed their MBA in Business Administration and Management from Northwood University - DeVos Graduate School from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University, which they attended from 1986 to 1990. Daniel Nelson completed their high school education at Sherrard High School from 1982 to 1986. Daniel also pursued additional courses, such as the Sustainable Market Leadership Course at Harvard Business School starting in 2009, and the Wholesale Distribution Manager's Course at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2007.
