Jorge Máximo has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Jorge began their career as an Advisor to the CEO at PAV-Profissionais do Audio e Video in 1996. Jorge then moved on to Banco Espirito Santo, SA, where they held the position of Senior Deputy Director and later Director Adjunto, with responsibilities in accounting processes for various banking operations. In 2005, Máximo joined Junta de Freguesia de Marvila as Vice-President and a member of the executive team, overseeing strategic planning, organization, communication, economic development, and citizenship projects. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Câmara Municipal de Lisboa as a Vereador/Deputy Mayor, handling sports, information systems, and citizen's relationship portfolios. Notable achievements during this time include leading the winning bid for Lisbon as the European Capital of Sport in 2021 and spearheading various successful Lisbon sport programs. In 2017, Máximo joined NOVO BANCO where they assumed the role of Head of Independent Validation Function. Lastly, in 2020, they became a Vogal da Direção at Transparência e Integridade.
Jorge Máximo has a diverse education history. Jorge started their education journey by obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Financial Administration from Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, which they completed between 1991 and 1996. Following this, they pursued a Licenciatura in Statistics and Information Management from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, which they completed between 1998 and 2000.
Later, in 2001 and 2002, Jorge pursued a Post-Graduation in Financial Institutions Management from the University of Lisbon. Subsequently, they obtained a Top Executive Master's degree in Executive MBA (INDEG), which was ranked in the Financial Times top 100 ranking, from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Jorge completed this degree between 2009 and 2011.
Continuing their education, Jorge pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General, from the ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa for the year 2017. Finally, in 2018 and 2019, they enrolled in the Digital Entreprise Management Postgraduate Program with a focus on Digital Transformation at NOVA IMS Information Management School.
