Yves Poitevin has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Yves started their career at IBF Biotechnics as a Technicien supérieur from December 1984 to August 1986. Yves then worked at Institut Merieux as a Technicien supérieur from August 1987 to February 1988.
In 1988, Yves joined Transgene where they held the role of Cadre technique for over 12 years. During this time, they were involved in the development of retroviral vectors for gene therapy applications, production of proteins in different expression systems, and the setup of in vivo models for cancer immunotherapy. Yves also led projects focusing on non-specific immunotherapy of cancer by transferring genes encoding for chemokines, cytokines, anti-angiogenic factors, and suicide drugs. Yves implemented in vivo gene delivery approaches and assessed the FCU1/5-FC pro-drug activation system for cancer gene therapy strategies.
Yves then worked for Pierre Fabre as a Scientist from November 2000 to April 2002. Finally, they joined NovImmune in April 2002 and became the Head of the Bioprocessing unit. The end dates for their roles at NovImmune are not provided, suggesting that they are still currently working there.
Yves Poitevin pursued their education at Université Orleans from 1979 to 1984, where they obtained a DEA in molecular biophysics and chemistry. Their field of study focused on biophysics.
