Bernie Vellón has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Bernie currently works at Noven Pharmaceuticals as a Research Scientist, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to that, they were an Associate Research Scientist at the same company from July 2021 to July 2023.

Before joining Noven Pharmaceuticals, Bernie worked at Florida Power & Light Company as a Nuclear Chemistry Laboratory Technician from April 2020 to July 2021. Bernie also gained experience at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where they held the position of QC Analyst and QC Chemist II from August 2016 to April 2020. Additionally, they worked briefly as a QC Chemist II at Allergan from February 2016 to July 2016.

Bernie's earlier work experience includes serving as an Assistant Manager at Eclipse CCTV from January 2003 to January 2016. Prior to that, they served as an Engineering Laboratory Technician in the US Navy from October 1999 to January 2003. Bernie also worked at Fusion Electronics as a Warehouse Assistant, where they handled various responsibilities including warehouse organization, inventory management, purchasing, customer service and sales, sales order processing, returns and RMAs, marketing and advertising, and general housekeeping and janitorial duties from January 1992 to January 1998.

Bernie Vellón's education history starts with their attendance at the Nuclear Power School - Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) from 2000 to 2001, where they obtained a degree in Machinist Mate, Nuclear. Following this, they attended Miami Dade College from 2005 to 2007 and earned an Associate of Science degree in Chemistry. Bernie then went on to Florida International University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Finally, they pursued further education at the University of Florida from 2015 to 2018, ultimately achieving a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Additionally, Bernie Vellón obtained various certifications, including HazWOPER from R&S Compliance Group in November 2020 and CPR & AED from the American Heart Association in June 2020. Bernie also received certifications such as Honorary Aquanaut from ADA/FIU in June 2016, Coral Restoration Diver I from PADI in September 2015, and Advanced Scuba Diver and Rescue Diver from NAUI Worldwide in December 2008.
