Adolfo Rais is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as Lead R&D Engineer at Novelis since February 2020, Adolfo previously held the position of Senior R&D Engineer there. Adolfo's prior role as a Research Scientist for the European CORTEX-H2020 project at EPFL involved providing scientific leadership in a collaborative international environment. Experience as a Nuclear Engineering Researcher at the CROCUS nuclear facility included specialization in reactor safety analysis and conducting benchmark experiments. Adolfo also contributed to nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulics at McMaster University and began a career as a Junior Project Engineer at Petrolera Entre Lomas S.A. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from EPFL and master's degrees in Material Science and Engineering and Nuclear Engineering, among other qualifications.
