Neil Polwart has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the biotechnology and diagnostics industry. Neil currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Novarum, a role they assumed in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at BBI Solutions as the Group Head of Mobile from 2016 to 2023, where they led the mobile diagnostics activity and supported the development and implementation of strategies for incorporating mobile applications in diagnostics testing. Before that, they were the Managing Director of Novarum DX Ltd, a joint venture between BBI and Albagaia, from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, Neil served as the Chief Operating Officer of Albagaia from 2010 to 2013 and as the CEO of HYDROSENSE LIMITED from 2003 to 2010. Neil started their career as a Research Scientist at DERA in 1998.

Neil Polwart earned a PhD in Chemistry from Heriot-Watt University from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed a BSc in Chemistry with Polymers and Advanced Materials at Heriot-Watt University from 1994 to 1998.
