Ananya Anand is a dedicated and innovative individual with extensive experience in machine learning, software development, and community service. Currently serving as an ML Research Intern at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ananya has designed a computer vision model for tracking robot movements in high-throughput COVID-19 testing and developed automated pooling protocols in Python. As a Software Developer at Nova, Tech for Good, Ananya focuses on creating an app to connect food-insecure residents with accessible food options. Ananya is also the Founder of Creative Arts for Recovery and Emotional Support (CARES), a certified non-profit that donates art to hospitals to enhance patient care and raise mental health awareness. Previous roles include an AI/ML Engineer at Creative Labs, where Ananya finetuned a Llama 2 model for a fitness app, and a Center Assistant at Kumon North America, Inc., providing tutoring to K-12 students. Ananya holds a degree in Computer Science and Linguistics from UCLA with a perfect GPA.
