Kerrie Turner

Kerrie Turner has over 20 years of experience in the media industry. Kerrie started their career in 2000 as a News Journalist and co-host of the Magic FM Breakfast Show at 5RM/Magic FM. Kerrie then worked as a News Journalist at 3BA/Power FM for three years, where they were responsible for delivering local news bulletins and producing segments for breakfast shows.

In 2004, Turner joined Prime Television as a News Journalist, focusing on researching, writing, and compiling local news bulletins. Kerrie also collaborated with the station's camera operator to gather visuals for stories. Kerrie then moved on to DMG Radio (now NOVA Entertainment) in 2005, where they worked as a Journalist/Newsreader. Kerrie learned about the high pressures of a capital city newsroom and contributed to researching, writing, and editing news stories, as well as presenting news bulletins.

From 2010 to 2011, Turner worked at Southern Cross Austereo as a Journalist/Senior Editor/Newsreader, where they served as the senior editor of the breakfast shift, preparing bulletins for breakfast newsreaders. Kerrie then worked as a TV Presenter for DRTV Talent in 2011, becoming the national 'face' of Continental, appearing in the "Better Meals" segment of Better Homes and Gardens on the Seven Network.

Turner's role expanded at the Australian Radio Network in 2011, where they became a Senior Journalist/Drive Newsreader. Kerrie conducted newsroom leadership duties, researched, wrote, and edited news stories, conducted interviews, and prepared and presented afternoon news bulletins for Mix 101.1 and Mix 102.

Most recently, Turner joined NOVA Entertainment in 2021 as a Journalist, focusing on their passion for reporting and storytelling. Additionally, since 2018, they have worked as a Marriage Celebrant at 'kt weddings'.

Kerrie Turner attended Underdale High School from 1993 to 1997. Subsequently, they enrolled at the University of South Australia from 1998 to 2000 and earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Media and Communication Studies. In 1999, they also attended the Adelaide Broadcasting Academy, which is now known as the Australian Radio School, to specialize in radio broadcasting.
