Pádraig Mulcahy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of research and academia. Pádraig is currently working as the Strategic Partnerships Manager and Research Lead (STEM & Health) at Nottingham Trent University. Prior to this, they served as the Education Programme Manager at the Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences, University of Cambridge, where they played a crucial role in driving the development of new therapeutics and supporting the education and training of researchers. Before that, they worked at the Cambridge University Health Partners (CUHP) and University of Cambridge as an Industry Partnership & Translational Research Development professional, providing support for researchers in translating their findings into practical health benefits. Additionally, they worked as a Research Associate at the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience and as a PhD researcher in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Pádraig also holds a Master's degree in Neuropharmacology and a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University College Cork, Ireland (UCC).

Pádraig Mulcahy completed a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience from University College Cork from 2002 to 2006. Subsequently, from 2007 to 2008, they obtained a Master's Degree in Neuropharmacology from the University of Galway. Finally, from 2007 to 2012, they pursued a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the same university.
