Georg Sorst is an experienced software engineer and educator currently serving as the Head of Search Engineering and Principal Software Engineer at Nosto since April 2023. Additionally, Georg has been an External Lecturer at Fachhochschule Salzburg since May 2016, focusing on Information Retrieval. Previously, Georg held multiple roles at FINDOLOGIC from September 2010 to March 2023, including Principal Software Engineer, CTO, and Lead Developer. Prior experience includes positions as Lead Developer at SYMPTOMA GmbH, and key roles at IBM involving a diploma thesis on porting the JVM to the Cell BE processor architecture, along with a software internship focusing on performance improvements for the same architecture. Georg began a career as a Developer at enAix AG and holds a Diploma in Computer Science from FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, completed in 2007.
