Richard Steffens is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial management across various organizations. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Norwood Life Society since July 2020, Richard previously operated as a Financial Consultant, managing projects including financial research on COVID-19 programs and cash management. Prior roles include Vice President Finance at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where Richard focused on procurement and cost efficiency, and Senior Regional Controller at Lutheran Life Communities, overseeing accounting functions for a portfolio with $80M in annual revenue. Additional experience includes controller positions at Symbria and a managerial role in the Business Process Outsourcing Division at Arthur Andersen. Richard began a career in finance with JLL, specializing in financial statements and analysis. Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
