Michelle Antonisse is an accomplished arts educator and program manager with extensive experience in various educational and artistic roles. Currently serving as the Manager of Teen and School Programs, Rights and Reproduction Manager, and Museum Educator at MOCA since January 2013, Antonisse also contributes as an Artist/Naturalist/Educator with Into the Field. Previous roles include Freelance Teaching Artist at Norton Simon Museum and Teaching Artist In Residence at Angels Gate Cultural Center, where ecology-based art curricula were developed and implemented. Antonisse has experience as a Teacher Coach for Visual Thinking Strategies and as a tutor in English Language and Algebra at Champion Learning Center. Earlier positions include Museum Educator/Graphic Designer at the National Children's Museum and Production Assistant at Food Network. As the owner of ANTONISSE CERAMICS, Antonisse gained recognition in the arts community. Antonisse holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Bard College, a Fine Arts degree from Gerrit Rietveld Academie, and a certification as a California Naturalist from UC Irvine.
