Dr Miranda Woods

Director, Patient Care Services, Norton Institute For Nursing/education at Norton Healthcare

Dr. Miranda Woods has a diverse work experience in various healthcare organizations. Dr Miranda began their career as a Perioperative Services Supervisor at Bay Area Regional Medical Center in 2003. Dr Miranda then worked as a Surgery Control Desk Manager at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center from 2005 to 2007. Following that, Dr. Woods served as an OR Manager at Norton Healthcare from 2007 to 2008. Dr Miranda then became the Assistant Director of Perioperative Services at Central Baptist Hospital from 2008 to 2011. Dr. Woods then took on the role of Director of Perioperative Services at Norton Children's Hospital from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Norton Healthcare again, this time as the Director of Patient Care Services at the Norton Institute for Nursing/Education. Dr. Woods further expanded their career by becoming an Adjunct Instructor at Galen College of Nursing from 2017 to 2019. Simultaneously, they also served as an Adjunct Lab Instructor at Spalding University from 2017 to 2018. Currently, Dr. Miranda Woods holds the position of Vice President of the Center for Clinical Advancement and Clinical Education at HCA Healthcare since 2019.

Dr Miranda Woods holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Spalding University, which they obtained in 2018. Dr Miranda also has a Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a specialization in Organizational Leadership & Development from the University of Kentucky, earned between 2014 and 2017. Additionally, Dr Woods has a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Ohio University and an Associate's in Applied Science in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Kentucky. Dr Miranda is also certified as a Nurse Executive (NE-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
