Julia van Warmerdam is an experienced outdoor educator and leadership instructor with a strong background in backcountry expeditions and adventure activities. Currently serving as the Lead Instructor at Northwest Outward Bound School since May 2022, Julia facilitates multi-day leadership expeditions incorporating backpacking, rock climbing, and whitewater rafting. Julia also holds the role of Outdoor Education Instructor at Dunn School since September 2021. Additionally, Julia has worked as an AWE Instructor for The Athenian School, facilitating a 26-day backpacking expedition in Death Valley National Park. Other experience includes positions as an Alpine Ski Instructor at Grand Targhee Resort and various roles in research and volunteer coordination. Julia completed a degree at Western Washington University in 2021, following graduation from The Athenian School in 2017.
