North Puget Sound Sshiap Salmon Habitat Biologist And GIS Analyst at Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission

Tyson Waldo is a seasoned North Puget Sound SSHIAP Salmon Habitat Biologist and GIS Analyst at the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission, with over 22 years of experience in designing and maintaining a comprehensive water resource GIS for tribal fisheries habitat management in western Washington. In addition, Tyson serves as an adjunct faculty member at Western Washington University, teaching various GIS courses, and as a GIS trainer at the Northwest Environmental Training Center, where curriculum is developed and delivered for natural resource professionals. Tyson Waldo holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Geography with a GIS specialization from Western Washington University and an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Asian Studies from the University of Montana, complemented by intensive Mandarin Chinese language study at Hangzhou University in China.
