Jess Zellmer is an experienced professional currently serving as the Asylum Intake & Legal Coordinator at the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project since August 2021. Previous roles include producing long-form documentaries for USC Annenberg Media and supporting operations at the University of Southern California (USC) in various capacities, including as a USC Advancement Intern, Dornsife Student Ambassador, and Teaching Assistant. Jess has held leadership positions at USC Helenes, managing community service initiatives and outreach events. Additional experience includes public relations roles with Everytown for Gun Safety and Kind Traveler, as well as communications internships with Weingart Center and Wisconsin Philanthropy Network. Jess holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship from USC and participated in the College Year in Athens program.
