Michael Kapfer serves as the Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Information Officer at Northwest Federal Credit Union, overseeing critical systems to ensure high availability, data integrity, and data security, while achieving availability metrics exceeding 99%. Additionally, Michael holds the position of Adjunct Professor at George Mason University, teaching courses in systems analysis, IT in the global economy, and network security, while developing curriculum. Previous roles include Director and Senior Systems Engineer at Tenacity Solutions Incorporated, Enterprise Systems Engineer for the US Government, and Systems Architect at Lotus Development, where Michael provided custom cryptographic solutions to government agencies and major corporations. Michael began the career as a Systems Programmer at Delfin Systems and a Junior Systems Engineer at Mobile Oil Corporation.
