Dixie Harper has a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the field of education. Currently serving as a Professional Learning Specialist at NCCE since December 2022, Dixie's previous roles include Instructional Technology Specialist and Media Specialist within the Cherokee County School District from August 2001 to May 2024. Notably, Dixie served as the Elementary School Media Specialist at Hickory Flat Elementary from 2004 to 2008 and successfully opened a new media center at Knox Elementary from 2008 to 2016. Prior teaching experience spans from 1994 to 2001 across various grades, including Kindergarten in DeKalb County School District, 1st grade in Forsyth County Schools, and 4th grade in Cherokee County. Dixie's educational qualifications include an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Lincoln Memorial University, a Specialist degree in School Librarian/School Library Media from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Primary and Elementary Education from Florida Southern College.
