Nathan Cook has worked in the tech industry since 2015, when they began as a Web Developer for Sciolex Corporation. In this role, they gathered requirements from users and stakeholders, created design goals and wireframes based on feedback received, and collaborated with team members regarding UI/UX objectives. In 2017, they moved on to Northstrat Incorporated, where they currently serve as a Software Engineer. Prior to this, Cook served in the US Navy from 2009 to 2015. During this time, they held the positions of Training Manager and Collection Operations Lead, and Ships Signal Exploitation Space Leading Petty Officer. In this latter role, they were responsible for supervising military and government watchstanders in the support of U.S. and allied intelligence efforts, as well as the supervision and overall professional and personal development of 6 Sailors.

Nathan Cook obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus between 2017 and 2019. In 2020, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance and a CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA. In 2018, they obtained an AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services.
