Jim Amaral, MS, currently serves as the Assistant Utilities Director and Water Resources Manager for the City of Salisbury, NC, since July 2016. In addition, Jim Amaral holds the position of Operations Manager at Northstar Chemical Inc. starting January 2024. Prior experience includes roles such as Utility Compliance Administrator at Union County Public Works from February 2015 to July 2016, Wastewater ORC at Stanly County Utilities from April 2014 to February 2015, and Water Pollution Control Superintendent at the Town of Oakboro from April 2012 to March 2014. Jim Amaral began their career as a Water Pollution Control Operator in the City of Salisbury from February 2010 to March 2012. Academic achievements include a Master’s degree in Science of Leadership from Pfeiffer University, a Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit and Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Stanly Community College.
