Zirar Vakirtzian has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. Zirar started their career as an Assistant Accountant at MTS Incoming SA in 2006. From there, they moved on to Repsol, where they worked as an Accountant from 2013 to 2016. Zirar then joined Red Rock Power Limited as an Accountant, eventually being promoted to Senior Accountant. During their time at Red Rock Power, they were involved in M&A activities and led the finance-related work for a project re-financing process. In 2019, Zirar joined INCH CAPE OFFSHORE LIMITED as a Financial Controller, where they provided financial management, tax advisory, treasury management, and other financial services for the company. Currently, they hold the position of Finance Director Asia at Northland Power Inc. starting from 2023.
Zirar Vakirtzian received a Master of Science (MS) degree in International Accounting & Finance from the University of Strathclyde in 2012-2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from the University of Macedonia in 2005-2011. Zirar completed their secondary education at the 1st General Lyceum of Heraklion from 2002-2005. Additionally, Zirar Vakirtzian has obtained several certifications, including Power Project Finance Training Course from IFF, Leadership Training from Taylor Clarke, Mastering Power Purchase Agreements from IFE, Part-Qualified from ACCA, and Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) from the Association for Project Management.
