Colleen Watkins currently serves as the Primary Care Integration, Partnerships and Access Lead at NQPHN since January 2024. With extensive experience in the healthcare sector, Colleen has held various managerial roles at Northern Queensland Primary Health Network, including Manager of Disaster Preparedness and Rural & Remote Area Manager, among others. Previous positions include Practice Nurse in Chronic Disease Management at Strive Health Services and several managerial and nursing roles at Northern Australia Primary Health Limited and Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local. Colleen’s early career includes foundational roles as a registered nurse in both Queensland Health and NOCDOC. Colleen holds an MBA from James Cook University, a General Nurse Registration from the Nurses Registration Board of Queensland, and a Diploma of Practice Management from the University of New England (AU).
