Krystal Shimmel MHA, BSCLS (ASCP)cm is a healthcare and leadership consultant currently serving at Shimmel Operational Solutions, LLC since May 2022, specializing in optimizing medical facilities and laboratories for operational efficiency and compliance. In addition to this role, Krystal has been the Interim Laboratory Manager at Northern Maine Medical Center since March 2023, overseeing laboratory operations and ensuring adherence to Joint Commission standards. From February 2016, Krystal has held multiple positions, including Medical Laboratory Scientist, POCT Coordinator, and Blood Bank Supervisor at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Previous experience includes the role of Clinical Coordinator at North Arkansas College and Medical Laboratory Technician at Carteret Health Care. Additionally, Krystal served in the United States Marine Corps as Military Police from May 2005 to May 2010.
