Alain Bois is the Chief Operating Officer at Northern Maine Medical Center (NMMC). He is a graduate from the University Of Edmundston School Of Nursing where he obtained an Associate Degree as a registered nurse in 1994. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and he is currently working on a Masters in Business Administration from the same University.He began his nursing career at NMMC and held various staff nurse positions on the Medical Surgical Unit, ER, Psychiatry and Endoscopy. He later held administrative positions as shift nursing supervisor, Nurse Manager of Inpatient Psychiatry and Director of Nursing at Forest Hill Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center.He is an alumnus of the Hanley Health Leadership Development Program and a member of the American College of Healthcare Administrators, Future Leaders of Long Term Care. He is a recipient of the Nursing Community Recognition Award from the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
