Katherine Cooper (Reterstorf) is an experienced research technician currently employed at Northern Biomedical Research since September 2023, after holding previous roles at the same organization and at Charles River Laboratories, where responsibilities centered on toxicology and animal welfare. Prior to these positions, Katherine served as a nursing assistant and phlebotomist at Spectrum Health, engaging in vital patient care tasks and blood collection. Katherine's foundational experience includes military service in the Army National Guard as a cook, ensuring meal provision for a large unit, and various research roles during academic tenure, including research internships at Central Michigan University and Michigan State University. Katherine is pursuing a Master of Science in Integrative Pharmacology and Toxicology at Michigan State University, building on a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Central Michigan University.
