Gene Conte is an experienced sports broadcaster and program director with a career spanning several years in the media industry. Currently serving as a Play by Play Announcer for Hamilton College Sports at Northeast Sports Network since September 2016, Gene has covered a variety of sports including volleyball and hockey. Previous roles include Play by Play for Baseball Operations at Cooperstown Dreams Park from June 2017 to August 2019 and Operations Manager at MY HOMETOWN SPORTS RADIO from April 2015 to July 2016. Gene has also held significant positions at Galaxy Communications and Townsquare Media, overseeing on-air operations and hosting sports talk shows. Gene began the career in the late 1990s with Clear Channel as Program Director for The Sports Stars Radio Network. Gene holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Utica University and has also studied at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
