Niamh Smith is an experienced Data Engineer and Mentor at Northcoders since July 2022, where responsibilities include mentoring junior software developers and providing guidance to students. Prior to this role, Niamh served as an English Teacher at Penwortham Priory Academy Trust from September 2019 to August 2022 and as the Lead Native Teacher at Maple Bear Gimpo from March 2017 to February 2018, overseeing a team of six and managing various administrative tasks. Niamh's educational background includes a PGCE in Secondary English from Edge Hill University, a Level 2 qualification in Counselling from Southport College, a course in LGBT+ History from The Open University, and a BA in English and Creative Writing from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
