Elizabeth McCormack, MSN, FNP-BC, RN, CEN has a diverse work experience in various healthcare settings. Elizabeth started their career as a Nurse Extern at Mather Hospital in 2014, where they gained hands-on experience in triaging, transporting, and assessing patients in the emergency department. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at UConn School of Nursing. In 2012, they joined Addus HomeCare as a Home Health Aide, responsible for providing care to a child with mental and physical limitations. Elizabeth administered medication, assisted with personal hygiene and dressing, prepared meals, and performed other household tasks. Since 2015, they have been working at North Shore University Hospital, starting as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. Elizabeth later became a Clinical Transformation Program Manager and, more recently, the Assistant Director of the Magnet Program and Palliative Care Unit.

Elizabeth McCormack obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Connecticut, where they attended from 2010 to 2015. Elizabeth then pursued a Master of Science - MS in Family Nurse Practitioner at Stony Brook University from 2017 to 2020. Elizabeth also holds several additional certifications, including Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) obtained in July 2020, and Certified Emergency Nurse from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing obtained in March 2017. Elizabeth has also obtained certifications in PALS- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and TNCC- Trauma Nursing Core Course from the American Heart Association and the Emergency Nurses Association, respectively.
