In 2004, Mr. Melsheimer founded North Shore Private Asset Management, LLC in order to provide investment management services to a select group of wealthy families. Dave is the architect of North Shore's investment philosophy. As Chief Investment Officer, he has overall responsibility for ensuring the integrity of the investment philosophy, reviewing various investment strategies, and identifying themes and trends in the financial markets. Currently, he manages investment portfolios for a few select families.

President and Chief Investment Officer of North Star Investment Advisors, a private money management firm, where he oversaw all investment advisory functions including research, trading and portfolio management.
Vice President & Portfolio Manager for the Northern Trust Company, managing investment portfolios for wealthy individuals and institutions. Member of Northern Trust's Stock Selection Committee.
Portfolio Manager for The First National Bank of Chicago, managing investment accounts.
