Jean-Pierre Cormier

FEED Lead Instrumentation Engineer at North Oil Company Qatar

Jean-Pierre Cormier started their career in 1985 as an Instrument Designer at Instrumentation Service. Jean-Pierre then worked at GTME as an Instrument Technician from 1987 to 1988. From 1989 to 2004, they worked at SOFRESID ENGINEERING as an Instrument Designer and later as an Instrument Engineer.

In 2004, Cormier joined Dolphin Energy as a Lead Instrument and ICSS Engineer until 2006. Jean-Pierre then became an Instrument Engineer from 2006 to 2007, and an Instrumentation Engineer from 2007 to 2008.

From 2008 to 2011, Cormier worked at Total as a Senior Instrument and Control Engineer from 2010 to 2011, and as an Instrumentation Engineer from 2008 to 2010.

In 2011, they moved to INPEX and served as a senior instrument engineer from 2011 to 2012, a Senior Instrumentation Lead Engineer from 2012 to 2013, and a Lead Instrument Engineer from 2014 to 2015.

From 2015 to 2017, Cormier worked at Total as an Instrument Construction Superintendant & Lead field instrument Engineer from 2015 to 2016, a Lead Instrument Engineer in 2016, and a Lead Field Instrument Engineer from 2016 to 2017.

Since 2017, they have been working at North Oil Company Qatar as a FEED Lead Instrumentation Engineer, participating in various projects such as GALLAF Batch #1, De Bottle Necking Pipelines Project, GALLAF Batch #2, and others. Jean-Pierre has also been involved in projects related to the MPFM Pilot Project and the Smart Well Completion System.

Jean-Pierre Cormier began their education in 1981, attending the Professional School of chemical industry. Jean-Pierre completed a degree in "Professional technician in instrumentation and controls" with a field of study in "BEP Micromecanique Option Controle et Regulation" in 1983 before continuing their studies. From 1983 to 1985, Cormier attended BT CIRA ENCPB Paris 13eme and ENCPB, focusing on "Instrumentation and controls."
