Melissa A.L. then joined North Memorial Health in 1999 as a Registered Nurse in the Trauma Neuro ICU. Over the years, Melissa held various positions at North Memorial Health, including Trauma Nurse Clinician, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Manager of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, Director of Critical Care & Trauma, Director of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Specialty Provider Programs, and currently, as the System Director of Patient Care for Trauma & Specialty Care. Their work experience spans over two decades, showcasing their growth and expertise in the field.

Melissa A.L. Thorson completed their education at the University of Minnesota. Melissa A.L. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nursing in 1998 and went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Nurse Specialist.
