Andrea Kraj PhD P.Eng is a highly experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as a Policy Researcher at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) since December 2023. Andrea also holds the position of Behind-the-Meter representative on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) and is a member of the IEA Wind TCP Task 41, focusing on distributed wind technology. As the Vice President of the World Wind Energy Association and President of CORE Renewable Energy Inc., Andrea leads initiatives in intelligent energy planning and multi-renewable energy systems. With a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Renewable Energy & Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Andrea has contributed significantly to research and education as a former Assistant Professor and Fulbright Arctic Scholar.
