Danny Mayes is an experienced investigator currently employed at the North Carolina Medical Board since February 2023. Previously, Danny served as an investigator at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office from September 2016 to February 2023. Prior to that role, Danny worked at the NC State Bureau of Investigation as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge from 1998 to August 2016, and at the North Carolina Division of Community Correction as an Intensive Probation Officer from March 1990 to August 1998. Danny earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism from Radford University between 1981 and 1984.
