Dr. Jennifer McLean

State Director, Advising And Coaching at North Carolina Community College System

Dr. Jennifer McLean is currently the Associate Director of Student Support Services at North Carolina Community College System, a position held since November 2018, where responsibilities include providing assistance and consultative services related to the NC Career Coach program and Academic Advising statewide, with a focus on career development and technical education professional development for all 58 community colleges. Previously, Dr. McLean served as the Director of Student Support Services at Johnston Community College and Robeson Community College, managing funded programs, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. Additionally, experience includes roles as Adjunct Instructor at multiple colleges, teaching courses aimed at enhancing student success. Dr. McLean holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Appalachian State University, a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Appalachian State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
