LaSara D. Carter, MPA, currently serves as the Communities Manager at the North Carolina Bar Association since November 2021. Previously, LaSara held multiple roles at the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer from January 2017 to November 2021, including Compliance Auditor and Executive Assistant to the Deputy Treasurer. Additional experience includes serving as a Precinct Official in Wake County & the City of Emporia from June 2016 to June 2021, a Marketing Services Assistant at State Farm from July 2014 to January 2017, and as an Admissions Assistant at Shaw University from September 2012 to May 2014. LaSara obtained a Master's Degree in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University (2014-2016) and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration from Shaw University (2012-2014).
