Kate M. has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Kate started their career at East Carolina University in 2004, where they worked in the Federal Relations Office until 2005. In 2006, Kate joined Progress Energy and worked in both the Legal Department and Corporate Communications Department until 2012. Kate then transitioned to Johnston Community College Foundation, where they worked in Alumni and Annual Programs until 2016. Since 2016, Kate has been employed at the North Carolina Bar Association, starting as an Assistant Director of Continuing Legal Education and progressing to roles such as CLE Administrator & Distance Education Manager, Senior Manager of CLE, and currently holds the position of Director of CLE.

Kate M. has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kate also holds a Master of Public Administration degree with a focus on Public Administration from East Carolina University.
