Jake Schmitter is an experienced professional with a diverse background in military and operational readiness roles. Currently serving as the Navy Reserve Space Domain Community Lead for the Naval Information Forces Reserve since February 2023, Schmitter also holds the position of Senior Manager, Operational Readiness at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) since October 2016, where responsibilities include developing and managing critical infrastructure protection training programs. Previous roles include Commanding Officer at NAVWAR 366, Exercise Planner for the US Navy and SPYROS I&T LLC, and Senior Analyst at Electronic Warfare Associates. Schmitter's military career commenced as a Naval Flight Officer, followed by extensive experience in electronic warfare and unmanned aerial systems. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Arts in Military National Resource Strategy and Policy from the U.S. Naval War College.
