Christopher Grinde has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Christopher is currently the Head of sensor development and manufacturing at Nortek since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Research at Nortek from February 2019 to November 2022. Before joining Nortek, they worked at Baker Hughes, a GE company, where they held the positions of Subsea Technology Leader from July 2018 to January 2019 and New Products and Technology Engineering Manager from August 2016 to June 2018. Christopher also worked at GE Digital Solutions as the NPI and NTI Technology Leader from January 2015 to August 2016. Christopher Grinde has extensive experience in project management and technical leadership, having served as a Project Manager/Technical Leader/Technologist at GE Presens from August 2011 to January 2015. Christopher also has experience as the Chief Technology Officer at Resonator AS, where they managed the development of industrial vibrators and linear permanent magnet machines. Prior to that, they worked at Vestfold University College as a Researcher, contributing to various research programs on MEMS and participating in a program on the miniaturization of UAVs. Christopher also served as a Lecturer at STIMESI, teaching MEMS design, and as a Work Package leader WP6 at microBUILDER, coordinating a pan-European educational program on micromechanics and microfluidics. Christopher Grinde began their career as an Engineer at Sport Tech.
Christopher Grinde completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechantronics/mechanics at Oslo and Akershus University College from 1997 to 2000. Christopher then went on to pursue their Cand. scient degree in Microelectronics at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2000 to 2003. After that, they continued their education at the University of Oslo (UiO) and obtained their Ph.D in MEMS from 2003 to 2010.
