Carsten Rohr has extensive experience in the solar energy sector, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at NorSun since May 2007, with previous roles including Vice President of Business Development and Sales. At NorSun, Carsten has been involved in joint ventures and management of R&D projects. Additionally, Carsten holds leadership positions at the European Solar Manufacturing Council as Co-Chair and Vice Chair, and served as Senior Scientific Officer at the UK Government Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 2003 to 2007, providing critical analysis for sustainable energy policies. Academic roles include post-doctoral positions at Imperial College London, where research focused on hydrogen energy and high-efficiency photovoltaic technology. Carsten Rohr earned a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London and a Diplom in Physics from RWTH Aachen University, complemented by studies at Cornell University and Paris-Sud University.
