Shahid Akhtar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of metallurgy and materials science. Currently serving as Principal Research Scientist at Norsk Hydro since January 2012, Shahid has also held roles as Senior Research Scientist and Quality Manager within the company. Prior experience includes a Researcher/Post Doc Fellow position at NTNU from October 2009 to December 2011 and Manager Quality Control at NESCom from May 2000 to August 2004. Shahid Akhtar holds a PhD in Metallurgy and Materials Science from NTNU (2006-2009), an MSc in Light Metal Production from NTNU (2004-2006), and a BSc in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore (1996-2000).
