Scott Worland currently serves as the Head of Engineering at Norm AI and is a Visiting Research Fellow in AI and Law at Emory University School of Law. Previously, Scott was a Staff Data Science Manager at Thyme Care, overseeing data scientists and engineers while focusing on statistical models for performance-based contracts in value-based care. Prior roles include VP of Data Science at FreightWaves, Director of Data Science at Cornell University, and Research Scientist at the U.S. Department of the Interior, with expertise in machine learning and probabilistic modeling. Scott holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Master's degree in Finite Element Methods from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Georgia College & State University with a perfect GPA.
