Bilal Khan, PhD, is an accomplished academic and technology entrepreneur with extensive experience in the fields of water treatment, artificial intelligence, and computer science. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at California State University-San Bernardino since August 2020, Bilal also co-founded Noria Water Technologies in August 2018, where innovative solutions for industrial water operations are developed, leveraging machine learning to enhance membrane health and reduce operational costs. As an Assistant Researcher and CEIN Theme Leader at UCLA since September 2013, Bilal leads teams in assessing the environmental impacts of nanotechnology. Previous roles include Senior Research Fellow at the University of Leeds, where a project on Mapping The Underworld received the IET Innovation award, and a Mobile Application Developer at Metricell. Bilal's academic qualifications include a PhD in Game Theory from the University of Bradford and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Birmingham City University, complemented by a focused program on entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson School of Management.
