Morten Moen has a work experience spanning over 11 years. Morten started their career in 2009 as an Operational Engineer at Telenor Norge AS and held this position until 2013. After that, they worked as a Fault Coordinator from 2013 to 2014, and then as a Security Analyst from 2014 to 2020. In 2020, they joined Norges forskningsråd as the Chief Information Security Officer.

From 2004 to 2007, Morten Moen attended Oslo and Akershus University College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Telecommunications Engineering.
