Vegard Halvorsen is an accomplished investment professional with extensive experience in fund investments, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Mekong region of South-East Asia. Currently serving as Investment Director at Norfund, Vegard Halvorsen oversees the entire investment management process, including screening, appraisal, and governance of fund portfolios. With a strong background as a Senior Investment Manager and Acting Head of Fund Investments at Norfund, as well as experience in other investment roles at Norsad Finance Limited, Scancem International, and Business Steel Tubes and Pipes, Vegard Halvorsen has developed a significant expertise in private equity and investments in frontier markets. Vegard Halvorsen holds a Master's degree in Business from the Norwegian School of Economics and a Master's in African Studies from The University of Edinburgh.
