Jamie Bastas is currently the Director of Communications/Public Information Officer at the Norfolk Sheriff's Office. Prior to this role, Jamie worked as a Senior Communications Specialist at the Newport News Police Department, where responsibilities included managing various social media platforms and communicating with law enforcement officers and detectives. Jamie also has experience in producing news at WAVY-TV and working in marketing at Big Oak Communications. Jamie graduated from Old Dominion University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management/Marketing.
