Audrey Shen is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and program management. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Nordstrom since March 2020, Audrey oversees the payments and fraud check infrastructure for eCommerce, mobile, and store digital payments, having developed a highly performant event-based Java payment system in AWS. Prior to Nordstrom, Audrey worked at Zillow as Principal Technical Program Manager, managing the technical roadmap for cloud-based services enhancing the user shopping experience. Previous roles at Expedia, Inc. included Director of Technology, Engineering Manager, and Sr. Technical Lead, focusing on large-scale distributed computing and data services. Early career experience includes positions at AOL Mobile and Comsat Laboratories, where Audrey contributed to instant messaging infrastructure and satellite communications software. Audrey holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
