Florian Hopfmueller is a theoretical physicist currently working at Nord Quantique since September 2022. Previously, Florian was a scientist at 1QBit from December 2019 to July 2022, contributing to the Hardware Innovation Lab and collaborating on various aspects of quantum computing, including control and error correction. Prior experience includes a role as a reinforcement learning scientist and graduate researcher at Perimeter Institute from September 2016 to January 2021, where Florian conducted theoretical research on General Relativity and Quantum Gravity under the guidance of notable professors. Florian holds a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics and a MSc in Theoretical Physics from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and University of Waterloo, along with a Bachelor of Science in Physics from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
